My Story
My mother - my hero and my inspiration for my obsession with integrative cancer coaching and health advocacy.
My own “cancer story” began in 1998 while I was living in New York City. My then 62-year-old mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer so I decided to return home to Malaysia to spend what I thought would be her last months.

As an integrative Chinese Medicine practitioner with Functional Medicine training, I am driven by evidence-informed practices and mind-body therapies to increase resilience and enhance quality of life in people with cancer. Both Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine are rooted in the principle that all our bodies are self-regulating with an innate ability to self-heal, within a wellness framework that is preventative, restorative and participatory. I support women with cancer in all stages of disease and recovery - I evaluate their nutritional, physical, emotional, and cognitive health factors to develop structured treatment plans for their everyday lives to improve health outcomes and reduce risk of cancer and its recurrence.
